D’ Qamar Guesthouse

This was our second stay here, but sadly it was a huge disappointment. The worst part was the cleanliness, there was a yellow stain in the toilet, and to our horror, we found cigarette butts in the toilet upon checking in. When we called to report that the toilet was clogged during a shower, an older man came after 15 minutes and instead of apologizing, he kept making excuses. He even said things like ‘Biasalah, kadang rambut sangkut dalam ni, bila mandi jangan buka air kuat'. He left after 5 minutes, but the issue was never fixed. We reported it again during checkout and finally received an apology, but the whole experience left us extremely dissatisfied. It’s hard to believe this is the same place where we had such a great experience on the first stay.

This place is so clean you cannot find any hair on the floor. I arrived midnight and the guard was waiting for me for checkin. This place is in a kampung area, but not too far from the town, only around 5km driving. Many places to dine, quiet place. They are building a small swimming pool. I believe it will be ready in a month from my stay date. Worth the price, excellent service. I will stay here again definitely.

Nice place but issue with no water. The exterior of the place was well designed (beautiful) and the female owner is friendly. We took the family room and stayed for 2 nights. The water pressure for first night was low and during the second night there was no water at all. Despite waiting for one night thinking the water will refill but there is still no water in the morning, leaving us have to go to other place to use the toilet. No shampoo, shower gel and toothbrush provided, no TV, the lighting was a bit dim( 3 lights only). Towels were provided. Overall the place was okay but maybe need to improve on the water supply issue as it is quite important esp for family with kids.

It was a very clean and nice space. We got 2 rooms. You take off your shoes at the entrance and you need to make sure you eat before going to your rooms tho. No food, no drinks in rooms. There is a cafe like space in front of the buildings housing the rooms where you can eat take away/ordered food. Place seems very secure, very organised and clean, quiet too. Not far from the Kuantan mosque 'city centre'. Lots of food places around too.

Stayed for the night after balik kampung in Kelantan. Arrived DQamar at 10pm on 3rd raya. Owner was friendly & siap ajak makan laksa penang. Had a pleasant stay there.
